Norway Spruce (Picea Abies):
Fastest growing of the spruces. Develops strong, graceful branches that are covered with dark green needles.
Ideal windbreaker. Matures at 60'; 25' spread (Zones 3-7).
White Spruce (Picea Glauca):
Straight, tall tree easily recognized by its needles. Cones always hang down. Beautiful year round color
which ranges from bluish silver to green. Tolerates most soil conditions. Salt tolerant.
Grows to 60'; 15' spread (Zones 2-6).
White Pine (Pinus Strobus):
A hardy, valuable tree. Clustered soft blue-green needles. Ideal screen or windbreak. Likes moist, well-drained soils. Grows 50-80'; 20-40' spread (Zones 3-8).
Concolor Fir/White Fir
(Abies Concolor):
The beautiful White (or Concolor) fir has light-colored bark. Cast of needles range from silver-blue to green. Fragrant needles smell of citrus. Likes well drained soil. Slower Growing.
Matures at 50' in home landscapes (Zones 4-7).
Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga Menziesii):
Commonly used as a Christmas tree due to it's fragrant needles. Prefers moist, well drained soils. Moderate/slow grower. Salt tolerant.
Mature height 40-80'; 12-20' spread (Zones 4-6).
Serbian Spruce (Picea Omorika):
With a compact, narrower columnar shape this is an extremely cold-hardy tree. Prefers moist, drained soils. Salt-tolerant. Drought resistant once established.
Matures to 50'; 20' spread (Zones 4-7).
Blue Spruce
(Picea Pungens):
One of the most recognizable spruces featuring a magnificent
silver blue-green needles.
Matures at 50-75'; 25' spread (Zones 2-8).
Canadian Hemlock (Tsuga Canadensis):
An ideal evergreen for light shade to full sun. The lace-like branches on this evergreen make for ideal screening, groupings, and foundation plantings. Avoid heavy soils.
Medium grower; up to 40'-70' (Zones 3-8).
Green Giant Arborvitae
This deer-resistant, pyramidal plant is perfect for hedges and natural fences. With it's compact shape, it can be planted 5' on center giving instant screening. Dark green foliage which bronze slightly during winter. Green Giant Arbs are excellent hedge plants and form a natural fence
Fast-growing; up to 3' per year (Zones 5-7).
